Divya Gandhi

RESEARCH SPECIALIST

As GFI APAC’s Research Specialist, Divya drives initiatives to accelerate the region’s transition to alternative proteins. She leads efforts to identify high-impact opportunities, strengthen market readiness, and foster collaborations across the ecosystem – working closely with corporates, researchers and other stakeholders. Her work includes advancing research and industry engagement on blended meat as one of the several pathways to expand the adoption of alternative proteins. Divya also represents GFI APAC at regional stakeholder discussions and industry events, contributing insights that help shape the future of sustainable food in Asia.

She is based in India.

Prior to joining GFI, Divya spent eight years in consulting and strategy mostly working with governments and donor partners on large-scale strategic and project implementation advisory engagements. Her professional experience spans across a wide variety of countries, including Cambodia, India, the Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Togo, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. She holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (Kozhikode).

Divya has contributed to numerous GFI publications, including a consumer insights study on plant-based meat, and a five-part blog series featuring insights from alt protein founders, analysts, and investors across the realms of fundraising, product development and sourcing, go-to-market strategy, alt protein marketing, and scaling up and partnerships.
