Samuel Goh

HEAD OF POLICY

Samuel leads the policy department’s regional efforts to accelerate alternative proteins through policy, regulation, and multilateral engagement. He works closely with governments to identify how alternative proteins can support their national objectives—ranging from food security and sustainability to economic growth and innovation.

In his role, Samuel engages with intergovernmental fora and strategic partners to advance regulatory harmonisation, public R&D, trade, and innovation. His work focuses on creating an enabling policy and regulatory environment, unlocking opportunities for sector growth, and future-proofing the region’s food system.

He is based in Singapore.

Prior to joining GFI, Samuel worked for over nine years in government affairs and public policy, including at the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), where he developed national policies to safeguard food safety and security. Samuel holds a master’s degree in environmental management from the University of Queensland and a bachelor’s in microbiology from the Queensland University of Technology.
