
Ankur Chaudhary
POLICY SPECIALIST – APAC
As part of GFI APAC’s policy team, Ankur leads regional efforts to accelerate alternative proteins through public policy and regulatory engagement. He works with governments and partners to align alternative proteins with national objectives, from food security and climate resilience to economic growth and innovation, advancing regulatory readiness and coordination to enable sector growth and future-proof the region’s food system.
He is based in Singapore
Before joining GFI, Ankur spent several years in public policy, government affairs, and thought-leadership roles, including at The Economist (Economist Impact), United Nations, World Bank and National University of Singapore, building coalitions, advising on regulatory strategy, and delivering research and advocacy across Asia. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy (Lee Kuan Yew School, NUS; Li Ka Shing Scholar) and a B.Com (SRCC, University of Delhi), with additional professional credentials (GARP SCR, CFA Level 2, Company Secretary India).
Ankur has contributed to key publications, including GFI’s State of Global Policy and State of Play APAC and the Asia-Pacific Society for Cellular Agriculture’s white paper on Cell Line Development.
