The precision fermentation industry in APAC is evolving rapidly, with exciting innovations and partnerships emerging between established corporations and dynamic startups. As this multi-faceted industry grows, it is crucial to communicate consistently, accurately, and positively about precision fermentation technology and the products it creates. Doing so ensures we avoid confusion, knowledge gaps, and misinformation.

To support this, a regional guide has been collaboratively developed by the Good Food Institute APAC and Cellular Agriculture Australia, with input from over a dozen APAC industry stakeholders. The guide addresses frequently asked questions on safety and regulation, commercialisation and scale, environmental impact, performance and functionality, and health and nutrition. 

This open-access language guide covering nomenclature, descriptions, and messaging was debuted during Singapore International Agri-Food Week (SIAW).
